February 2nd is Dia de la Candelaria (Candlemas) in Mexico. Infant size images of the Baby Jesus are dressed in a variety of outfits and then taken to cathedrals to be blessed. Shown here are images dressed as the ‘Heart moving Child’ and ‘Child of St. Charbel.’ Charbel was a Lebanese priest who was canonized by the Catholic church for his holiness and ability to perform miracles.
